Are you interested in learning about the marine environment and investigating marine megafauna movements? The Sequeira Lab has exciting new PhD opportunities available for domestic students! The Lab focuses on addressing specific questions of relevance for the conservation of marine species and the ocean, so if this sounds like you, check out this opportunity to come join our team!
Our research covers a range of topics, from predicting patterns of marine megafauna occurrence and movement, to the development of modelling tools to understand marine processes and assist conservation. We have projects involving field work in the beautiful World Heritage Area of Shark Bay, Western Australia, working with a range of marine megafauna species, such as turtles, sharks and dugongs! For more information on past and ongoing research projects, check out our projects and the biographies of our researchers. See Research School of Biology at the Australian National University (ANU) for learning more about the great research environment at Australia’s top university, located in the national capital of Canberra.
If you are a highly competitive student ready to embark on a PhD, please submit your CV, academic transcript together with you calculated GPA and half-page project proposal to Xiaohan (Xiaohan.Xu@anu.edu.au) by the end of March. Note that applications for scholarships at ANU close on 15 April 2023. You can explore the current research scholarship opportunities here. Good luck with your application!
